Client history that stays with the salon

When a tech leaves, her clients' history usually leaves with her - in a notebook, a phone, or her memory. In NailNote, visits, photos, and colors are logged in your salon, so they stay when people change. A regular who comes in on her usual tech's day off can still get exactly the same set from whoever is free.

You decide who joins and what they can do

New staff join with your salon code, and you or a manager approve each request. Everyone gets a role:

  • Owner and Manager - see and change everything; managers approve join requests, edit colors and recipes, and can remove techs.
  • Tech - logs visits and works with clients.
  • Front desk - checks clients in, logs visits for any tech, and writes handoff notes, but can't change colors or recipes.
  • Viewer - can look without changing things.

On Pro you can fine-tune each role: who can add and edit clients, log visits for other techs, upload photos, change stock, create recipes, or even see the customer list at all. An activity log shows edits, deletions, restores, and role changes, and deleted items go to a trash that managers can restore.

The same set from every tech

  • Salon-standard recipes (Pro). A manager approves a recipe as the salon standard, so every tech does your signature set the same way. Techs who want changes create a variant instead of editing the original.
  • Handoff notes (Pro). "Switch base next time, client felt a burn." A handoff note marked needs attention stays on everyone's Home screen until someone resolves it, so the next tech can't miss it.
  • Photos on every visit. Compare two sets side by side on Pro when a client says "it was different last time."

A calmer front desk

The front desk taps the hand on Home, picks a reason ("customer's here," "need a hand"), and buzzes one tech or all of them. Techs answer On my way or 5 more minutes, and the desk sees it live. Team chat gives the salon one channel plus 1-on-1 messages, separate from everyone's family group texts.

Polish inventory you can trust

Every color shows in stock, low, or out, with its shelf location and the visits it was used on, so you see your most popular shades and reorder before a regular's favorite runs out. You choose whether techs can change stock counts; adding or editing colors stays with managers.

More than one location

Free and Pro include one salon. Business covers up to 3 salons on one plan for $24.99 a month ($199.99 a year), with everything in Pro and unlimited members at each salon.

What it costs

  • Free - 1 salon, up to 3 members including you, no limit on clients. Chat history is kept 90 days.
  • Pro - $9.99/month or $79.99/year: unlimited members, role permissions, handoff notes, salon-standard recipes, activity log, unlimited chat history.
  • Business - $24.99/month or $199.99/year for up to 3 salons.

Only the owner subscribes, through the App Store, and can cancel anytime. Every new salon gets 30 days of Pro free with no card, and if a plan ends, all data and members stay. See pricing.

NailNote doesn't do booking or payments - keep the booking app or POS you already use, and add NailNote for what it doesn't remember. See the support FAQ for details.
